Concept-Through-Completion Energy Efficiency Projects:
- Electric bills are provided for review and the company’s priorities for LED lighting are determined.
- No-cost facility audits are conducted to gather data of the existing lighting and determine the lighting preferences of company.
- LEDs are specified, which would qualify for maximum rebates and meet building requirements of economics and lighting quality.
- Sample LEDs are provided to test for compatibility with facility equipment and assure overall suitability for the application.
- An Opportunity Report is prepared of existing and proposed lighting, energy savings, project cost, rebates, and net cost, if any.
- Company authorizes an project to proceed.
- In some cases, utility will conduct a pre-installation inspection to confirm the counts and descriptions of the existing lighting.
- When pre-installation inspections are not required or utility approval to proceed after conducting an inspection, LEDs are supplied.
- Installation is completed by building staff, contractors selected by the building management or arranged by AEE.
- AEE develops and submits completed data of counts and descriptions of installation data to the utility.
- In most cases, utility companies conduct a post-installation inspection to verify the counts and descriptions of the installed LEDs.
- Utility approves the completed scope of work and approves rebate.
- AEE handles all utility requirements to schedule inspections and qualify for rebates.
- For projects with no capital outlay payable from companies, AEE handles all documents and manages project financing requirements.
